NAATA AGM 2020 – Message from the President

Dear Members:

NAATA’s annual members meeting will be held in Miami, Florida on Friday, April 17, 2020.

Your Board of Directors and all people in the business are aware of the challenging environment that 2020 will present. It doesn’t matter if you are as big as GM, Ford, VW, Daimler or as small as a one-man shop, this is a challenging time for the auto industry. This members meeting is designed to be both accessible and affordable for you.

The plan is to have an opening/welcome cocktail event on the night of April 16 at the Pullman Miami Airport Hotel just across the parking lot from Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg’s office at 1000 NW 57th Ct., Miami, FL 33126.  Our hope is that we will have a sponsor or sponsors for that event.  Next day, we will meet at ST&R’s office.  The meeting will have two sessions:   Morning 10-12 (continental breakfast at ST&R), when NAATA business, including election of new Trustees and other issues will be discussed

After a catered lunch at ST&R’s offices, the afternoon session, 1-4, will focus on presenting ideas or practices designed to improve your operations. This information will come from Trustees and members. We hope to include the latest information relating to auto trade in the EU, Canada, Mexico and the US. In addition we will discuss emerging markets in Africa and the Middle East.  Any members wishing to make suggestions for the agenda are encouraged to do so.

Registration for the AGM will open next week and the website to register will be  The cost to attend will be $250 USD per attendee, maximum of $500 USD per company.

There are a number of benefits which arise from having the meeting at ST&R’s office:

  1. Significantly reduce your cost to attend meeting.
  2. We have a negotiated rate of $149 USD per night at the Pullman Miami Hotel which is steps away from ST&R’s office- they share a parking lot.  Details of how to book a room in our block to follow.
  3. Holding the meeting at ST&R’s office will significantly reduce NAATA’s cost, which in turn reduces your cost to attend.
  4. What we need immediately to secure rooms at preferred rates is your response that you will attend.  Again, keep in mind while the meeting ends on Friday, if you want to stay for the weekend, knowing how many rooms to include for extra days is information we must have.

In short, our intention is to present a balanced meeting, one where we believe members will have an opportunity and be encouraged to participate, ask questions and interact with attendees. Under separate cover and pursuant to Sections 2.3 and 2.4, we will provide all members in good standing with Trustee election information. This will include an opportunity to propose members in good standing to serve as a Trustee.
